Kanu Lawyer Has Been Barred From Entering Court Five Times

A lawyer who came from the United States to defend Nnamdi Kanu said it was the fifth time he had been barred from entering court by security forces on Wednesday. Mr Bruce Fein alleges that he was the only DSS officer trying to prevent him from participating in the case. "I am his foreign lawyer and despite assurances that the accused can see all his lawyers but this is the fifth time I have been barred from entering his (Kanu's) presence," he said. Speaking to reporters shortly after the adjournment, the team of lawyers threatened to change the court because they felt their client would not be treated fairly. "Based on what we saw today, we do not think this court will do us justice, so we will draw from what we saw today," said one of the lawyers. The Judge, Binta Nyako adjourned the case to January 19th and 20, 2022.

NDE Trains 180 Youth on Advanced Business in Sokoto

The National Directorate of Employment (NDE), in Sokoto has successfully trained no fewer than 180 beneficiaries of Special Public Works, on Advanced Business Training. Speaking at the end of the two days training on Tuesday at Fatima College of Nursing Sciences in Sifawa, Bodinga Local Goverment of Sokoto State, the Director-General (DG) of NDE, Malam Abubakar Fikpo urged the participants to put the training into practice. Fikpo said this would make them to be self-reliant and employers of labour. Represented by Sokoto State NDE Coordinator Mrs Euniche J. Danmallam, the DG said the training was aimed at empowering participants to make judicious use of the allowances paid by the Federal Government. Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has predicted that there would be three days of thunderstorms and sunshine across the country from Monday till Wednesday. 92 Feared Dead As Oil Tanker Explodes in Sierra Leone

Bandits Flee Zamfara Attacks, Dominate Sokoto

Russia's Vladimir Putin To Self-Isolate Due to Covid-19

Russian President Vladimir Putin is going into self-isolation because of coronavirus cases in his inner circle, the Kremlin said Tuesday, adding that he tested negative for COVID-19.
