President Muhammadu Buhari declared open the Nigerian Army Chief of Army Staff Annual Conference 2022 in Sokoto. The conference tagged: “Building a Professional Nigerian Army for the 21st Century Security Environment” was commenced at the multipurpose Hall of the International Conference Center Kasarawa, in Sokoto State. President Buhari said Nigerian Army has over the years demonstrated its capacity and zeal in defending Nigeria’s territorial integrity and sovereignty against external aggression and giving aid to civil authority in mitigating internal security challenges in the country. He explained that under his administration from 2015 to date, the Nigerian Army has achived a significant success in fighting against insergency particularly in the Nirth East and North West.
