Breaking: Chadian President Idris Deby Is Dead


 Chadian President Idris Deby died while leading the country's security forces over the weekend, fighting rebels on the northern country's border with Libya.

 President Deby is widely expected to win the country's general election by 80 percent after seeking a sixth term.

 The military has dissolved parliament and announced that it would hold power for 18 months before new elections.
 Idris Deby took power in Chad in 1990 after overthrowing the government of former President Hissene Habry, and has ruled Chad for 30 years.
